From the Early Pandora Wiki Na'vi legend Wiki lore

Ninat was a Tsahik, a clan's spiritual leader, in the days of the early Na’vi. She is the hero of the duck-sucker legend. Na'vi legend

The warning

When the swamps grew quiet, Ninat sat with the Taktswìkyu, placed her hands on their twisting stalks and connected to the forest through her queue. The trees whispered that the swamp was tipping out of balance. She warned the plants to eat less, but they did not listen. Na'vi legend

After the Great Hunger

Ninat walked the dark swamps for many days, singing for the lost tak and the fallen plants. At the edge of the last swamp she found a tiny orange sprout. She watched it grow into the first loreyu and gave it its name. Na'vi legend

Wiki lore says Ninat's songs for the lost creatures became the first "remembering songs," still sung when an animal species grows rare. Wiki lore
