Early Na'vi
From the Early Pandora Wiki Canon Na'vi legend Wiki lore
The Na'vi are the tall, blue people of Pandora. They stand about ten feet tall, have tails for balance, four fingers on each hand, cat-like yellow eyes, and a long braid called a queue that lets them connect to animals, plants and Eywa. That bond is called tsaheylu. Canon
Today there are many clans, including the forest Omatikaya, the reef Metkayina and the volcanic Mangkwan. Canon
The first clans
The early Na'vi lived beside the swamps of early Pandora. They made ropes and drinking straws from fallen Taktswìkyu stalks, and some of these tools have been found in old riverbanks. Na'vi legend
Wiki lore describes them as river people who built homes on stilts above the water, fished with nectar-dipped lines and counted time by full moons of Polyphemus rather than by years. Wiki lore
Spiritual life
Each early clan had a Tsahik, a spiritual leader such as Ninat, who listened to the forest through her queue. Na'vi legend Na'vi believe Eywa keeps nature in balance and holds the memories of all who have died. Canon
Stories
The Na'vi have no writing. Their history lives in songs and stories passed from grandparent to grandchild, like The Duck-Suckers of Pandora. Canon Na'vi legend
